MULTI-INSTRUCTOR CLINICS

Price (per 3-hr workshop): $75 for working spots / $20 for auditors
Maximum dog teams: 15
These workshops are an opportunity to train with multiple instructors on dog and handler skills in various search elements. The instructors are Kyoko Johnson, Renee Conner and Courtney Chun. Dog teams will be split into three groups of 5 at similar experience levels, and each group will rotate between the three instructors. Auditors may move freely between groups.
Search elements will include Interior and Exterior. Vehicle, Container and Buried may also be included.
Pre-requisites
- Dogs must be on birch odor, at minimum.
- Dogs must be comfortable being crated or waiting in vehicle between searches.

SCENT DETECTION WORKSHOPS with BARBARA SCHWERDT
We're super excited to host Barbara Schwerdt again in the fall of 2026. Barbara is a founding instructor with National Association of Canine Scent Work as well as a Certified Nose Work Instructor®, Trial Judge and Certifying Official. Barbara also is an active competitor in the sport with her personal dogs, giving her a diverse nose work background with many great insights to share with students.

INTERIOR ELEMENT WORKSHOPS - Saturday October 10, 2026
Location: Honolulu, Oahu
Workshop Price: $135 for working spots / $35 for auditors
On Saturday there will be two separate half-day workshops for dog teams that are interested in having Barbara coach them in interior searches and the associated challenges, such as swirling airflow, navigating through clutter, and converging odor.
Workshop Levels & Time Slots
- 9:00am to 12:00pm - AKC Novice & Advanced Levels
- 1:00pm to 4:00pm - AKC Excellent & Beyond Levels

Location: Pearl City or Aiea, Oahu
Workshop Price: $125 for working spots / $30 for auditors
On Saturday there will be two separate half-day workshops for dog teams that are interested in having Barbara coach them in exterior and container searches and the associated challenges, such as environmental distractions in exterior searches, and leash handling for container searches.
